Inviting your Staff to use canuwork

How best to inform your staff about canüwork and provide easy instructions for them to download the app and connect to your team.

Once you have setup your Employer profile and updated/added your Shift types, you can now let your staff know that you will be using canuwork for arranging casual shifts and provide them with easy instructions to get started.

Firstly, you will have received two Welcome emails, one for your 'user account' and one for the Employer (sent to you as the manager).

The email welcoming your School / Business, will also provide a sample text message template which you can use by sending your casual staff a text message to their mobile numbers via your iPhone or Android device.

This text message is to:

  1. Let your staff know about canuwork and
  2. Asks them for their email address so you can invite them via the app, which will also automatically email them instructions on how to get started.

Once your staff have replied to you with their email address, you go into the app on your iPhone or Android device and invite them via the Profile => Send Invite screen (below).

Upon tapping Send, each invited staff member will receive an email instructing them to download the app, signup and accept your invite within the app.  

You staff will need to signup on the app using the email address they advised, login to the app, then under Profile => Pending they can Accept the invite to join your team (see below).

Finally, the last step for your staff to do is start marking their availability in their canuwork app.  The easiest way is to use the pencil icon in the top right corner of the Calendar screen in the canuwork app.

That's it!  You're all now saving time and enjoying the convenience of canuwork.
